Danke schon for your comments. I agree that everyone should have equal access to health care. But the plan put forth by Obama is not a good plan. It will eventually mean that the federal government will have full control over our health care system. The government, not the doctor will decide what treatment I receive. And our government has a very poor record in managing health care programs.

I am not against health care reform. I am against health care reform that takes away my option to choose what insurance I want and how much I am willing to pay. The people that do not have health insurance now (the 46 million) do not have it because most cannot afford it. Introduce a plan that will cover those and allow those who can afford it to buy their own insurance. That&#039;s the complaint most Americans have against this plan.

Most feel that reform is being shoved down our throats, taking away our choice and giving us something far worse than what we have. Further the way it will be set up will require us to pay for health insurance first before we pay for other necessities like food and housing. The government will get their money first and what is left over is what you can live on. NOT GOOD!

Again danke schon,

Greetings from the USA

<description>As I already wrote on Twitter is my view in this case the European view. In my opinion there should be a health care for everybody, no matter where from or if with or without own income. By the way: No one is illegal. She/He is still a human being and should be treated as one. I know that Americans like to fight for beeing independend, have a gun and a car, but what will you do with it if you are not able to creep, because your health is so badly damaged and you can&#039;t pay for the doctor or the medic&#039;s? E.g. at Germany we&#039;ve had a health care reform as well. We have a hugh number of private health care insurances, but the costs run away, so that the government set an health care pool and fixed the monthly rates for the next years. All insurances have to deal with it and in the end the people are the winners. We all have quite good basic health care without the need of extra and special insurances. This costs each individual a bit of money, but on the other hand we are thankfull that there is absolutly no need to be worry about health problems for anybody. If there are some troubles just go to the doctor, show your health care card and that&#039;s it.

Well, as I said within the first words, it is just the European view ;-)
